Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled

Freelance French Tutor

to deliver high-quality French language instruction to learners across all proficiency levels -- from absolute beginners to advanced learners. The tutor will be responsible for designing engaging lessons, building strong language foundations, and helping students achieve fluency for academic, professional, and personal goals.

This role is ideal for educators who enjoy flexible teaching, working with diverse learners, and creating a positive, motivating learning environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Instruction

Conduct interactive French language classes for:

Beginner (A1-A2)

Intermediate (B1-B2)

Advanced (C1-C2)

Teach all core language skills: Speaking Listening Reading Writing Grammar and vocabulary Deliver structured lessons aligned with CEFR standards.
Lesson Planning & Content Development

Prepare lesson plans based on learner level and goals. Develop and adapt teaching materials such as: Worksheets Practice exercises Audio/video resources Real-life conversation scenarios Incorporate cultural elements of Francophone countries to enrich learning.
Assessment & Progress Tracking

Conduct regular assessments (quizzes, oral tests, assignments). Track student progress and provide constructive feedback. Identify learning gaps and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Student Engagement

Create a supportive, encouraging classroom atmosphere. Motivate learners to practice consistently and build confidence in speaking. Provide one-on-one mentoring when required.
Exam & Certification Support

Prepare students for French proficiency exams such as:

DELF / DALF

TEF / TCF

Support learners targeting: Higher studies abroad Immigration requirements Career advancement
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's / Master's degree in French, Languages, Education, or related field

OR

equivalent professional teaching experience. Certification such as: DELF B2 / DALF C1-C2 TEF / TCF (preferred) Prior experience teaching French to students of different age groups and levels.Key Skills & Competencies Excellent command of

spoken and written French

. Strong communication and explanation skills. Ability to simplify complex grammar concepts. Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for teaching. Classroom management and learner engagement skills. Comfortable using digital tools for online teaching (Zoom, Google Meet, LMS, etc.). Time management and professionalism in a freelance environment.
Preferred Attributes

Experience in teaching French for: Schools / colleges Corporate training Study-abroad aspirants Exposure to blended learning or e-learning platforms. Multilingual ability (English + Indian languages is an added advantage). Passion for language learning and cultural exchange.
Work Structure

Flexible teaching schedule

based on mutual availability. Classes may include: Group sessions One-on-one tutoring Weekend or evening batches Payment on an hourly / per-course basis (as agreed).
