The Business Development Executive (IT Online Bidder) will be the front-line for securing new IT and software development projects for the company through various online bidding and freelance platforms. This role requires a strong sales acumen, excellent written communication skills, and a deep understanding of the IT service landscape to craft compelling proposals and close deals.
Key Responsibilities
Online Bidding & Prospecting:
Identify
and analyze potential IT/software development projects, service requirements, and business opportunities on
online bidding platforms
(e.g., Upwork, Freelancer, Guru, etc.).
Develop and write persuasive, high-quality proposals
and bids tailored to the client's specific requirements, showcasing the company's value proposition and technical expertise.
Manage the
end-to-end bidding cycle
from initial search and proposal submission to final negotiation and deal closure.
Client Communication & Relationship Management:
Initiate contact
with prospective clients through the bidding platforms, email, and cold calling.
Conduct
thorough client needs analysis
to understand their requirements, budget, and timeline accurately.
Negotiate
project scope, pricing, and terms to achieve a win-win scenario, ensuring profitability.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
to foster repeat business and referrals.
Internal Coordination & Strategy:
Collaborate closely with internal teams
(e.g., Project Managers, Technical/Development Teams) to define project scope, estimate effort, and gather necessary technical details for bid preparation.
Stay
updated on the latest IT industry trends, technologies, and competitor activities
to maintain a competitive edge and identify new service offerings.
Achieve and consistently
exceed monthly/quarterly sales and revenue targets
.
Reporting & Administration:
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date
pipeline of leads and opportunities
in the CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Provide regular
reports on bidding activity, conversion rates, sales forecasts,
and market feedback to management.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
Proven
1-3 years of experience
in Business Development, Sales, or a relevant role, with a strong focus on online bidding for IT/Software projects.

Proficiency in Online Bidding Platforms:
Deep familiarity with major freelance and bidding sites.
Exceptional Written and Verbal Communication:
Ability to articulate complex technical ideas clearly and persuasively, particularly in proposal writing.

Technical Acumen:

Web Development, Mobile App Development, Digital Marketing,
and other relevant technologies.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to research market trends, analyze client requirements, and structure a competitive bid.
Time Management and Organization:
Excellent skills to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and client communications simultaneously.
