Job Description


Key Responsibilities:
Pre-boarding:

  • Ensure new hires receive necessary benefits documentation and instructions prior to their start date.
  • Review new hire benefit eligibility and ensure all pre-employment paperwork is completed.
  • Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate employee records, including benefits preferences.
Onboarding Process:
  • Guide new hires through the companys benefits offerings (healthcare, retirement plans, wellness programs, etc.).
  • Ensure new hires are enrolled in the correct benefits programs during the onboarding process.
  • Provide in-depth explanations of benefits options and assist employees in selecting the best plans for their needs.
  • Complete verification of new employee benefits selections, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
BVG Documentation & Compliance:
  • Review and verify all benefits-related documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure all new hires benefits data is accurately entered into the HR system and maintained.
  • Monitor and track benefits eligibility, documentation, and enrollment timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations concerning employee benefits.
Employee Support:
  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions, resolving issues or concerns promptly.
  • Offer ongoing support for employees during their onboarding period to ensure they understand and utilize their benefits effectively.
Collaboration & Communication:
  • Partner with HR teams, hiring managers, and external benefits providers to streamline the onboarding process.
  • Collaborate with the Benefits team to handle specific employee needs (e.g., benefits changes, updates to health insurance, etc.).
  • Provide training or informational sessions to new hires about benefits packages, programs, and enrollment procedures.
Feedback & Process Improvement:
  • Collect feedback from new hires to improve the benefits onboarding process and overall employee experience.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of benefits enrollment and verification.
Recordkeeping & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of employee benefits enrollment and verification.
  • Prepare and generate reports related to benefits enrollment status for HR and management.
Requirements:
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HR, benefits administration, or onboarding.
  • Experience working with benefits systems and understanding benefits verification processes.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in benefits enrollment and verification.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in HR software and tools (Workday, BambooHR, or similar HRIS systems).
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits and compliance regulations.
  • Education:
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
