We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized

Onboarding and Compliance Specialist

to support the seamless integration of new healthcare professionals into our organization and ensure adherence to federal, state, and organizational compliance standards. This role is critical in maintaining workforce readiness and upholding patient safety by ensuring that all required credentials, licenses, and training are verified and current.

Key Responsibilities:



Onboarding Coordination:

Facilitate and manage end-to-end onboarding processes for clinical and non-clinical staff. Collaborate with HR, hiring managers, and credential teams to ensure timely onboarding. Collect, review, and process all required onboarding documents including background checks, I-9s, and health screenings.

Compliance Oversight:

Ensure all staff meet regulatory and organizational compliance requirements, including federal (e.g., CMS, HIPAA), state, and payer-specific mandates. Monitor and track license and certification expirations using compliance tracking systems. Conduct routine audits of employee records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Credentialing & Documentation:

Verify professional licenses, board certifications, education, and work history. Work with credentialing departments to support timely processing for healthcare providers. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.

Training & Policy Implementation:

Coordinate mandatory compliance training sessions, including annual training and onboarding modules (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, DEI, and workplace safety). Keep up to date with changes in healthcare compliance laws and regulations and update internal policies accordingly.

Communication & Support:

Serve as a liaison between internal departments and new hires to resolve onboarding or compliance issues. Provide ongoing support and guidance to employees on compliance-related inquiries.

Qualifications:



Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in onboarding, compliance, credentialing, or HR administration, preferably in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and Joint Commission standards. Experience with onboarding/HRIS/compliance tracking systems (e.g., Workday, Kronos, Relias, or similar). Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
