Food preparation and cooking

Assist with food prep:

Perform basic tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients as directed by chefs.

Learn cooking techniques:

Apply theoretical knowledge to practical tasks and learn new cooking methods and recipes.

Help with plating:

Assist with the arrangement and presentation of dishes to meet quality standards.
Kitchen maintenance and cleanliness

Clean and organize:

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning counters, floors, and equipment.

Wash dishes:

Wash and dry all kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment.

Waste disposal:

Take out garbage and replace garbage bags.
Inventory and stock management

Receive and store supplies:

Assist with unloading deliveries and properly storing food and provisions.

Monitor inventory:

Help monitor stock levels and manage the storage and disposal of unused food.
Safety and hygiene

Maintain standards:

Follow and enforce all food handling, hygiene, and safety standards to prevent foodborne illnesses.

Uphold health codes:

Follow regulations for proper food storage, such as keeping raw and cooked foods separate.

Use equipment safely:

Operate kitchen equipment according to training and safety procedures.
Teamwork and professional development

Communicate needs:

Communicate any kitchen needs or issues to supervisors.

Work as a team:

Collaborate with other staff members and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Seek feedback:
