An Office Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of an office. They assist employees, manage day-to-day tasks, and help maintain a positive, efficient workplace environment. Key Responsibilities Answer and direct phone calls and emails Greet visitors and handle front desk duties Manage filing systems (physical and digital) Perform data entry, maintain spreadsheets or databases Update paperwork and records Sort and distribute mail and other communications Order and maintain office supplies inventory Schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and manage calendars Organize office common areas and assist with event planning Make travel arrangements (booking accommodations, reservations) Assist co-workers and other teams with various tasks as needed
