office building, assist with event bookings, and also carry out
regular
outdoor work
(banking, vendor coordination, errands, etc.) on behalf of the Sylhet Union Trust and Sihatta Sammilani, the stake holders at Srihatta Bhavan.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Administration
Maintain registers, files (physical & digital), and records
Draft simple letters/notes; handle phone calls, emails, and WhatsApp messages
Assist with petty cash handling, bill payments, and basic accounting support
Facility & Building Care (Srihatta Bhavan)
Daily opening/closing, cleanliness checks, minor upkeep coordination
Arrange electricians/plumbers/technicians for repairs & maintenance
Ensure safety, readiness, and proper handover before/after events
Hall Booking & Event Coordination
Handle public enquiries (walk-ins, calls, WhatsApp) for bookings of Srihatta Bhavan for various events by the general public and institutions.
Show premises to prospective clients, maintain booking calendar, collect payments/receipts.
Supervise event setup, coordinate with renters, and ensure proper closing.
Outdoor Duties
Visit banks, utility offices, or vendors for payments, deposits, and official errands
Purchase/collect supplies, liaise with service providers, deliver letters/documents
Represent the Trust/Sammilani for outside coordination as directed
Provide regular updates/logbooks, and escalate issues for quick resolution
Eligibility
Gender/Age:
Male, 25-35 years
Education:
Graduate, HS or Diploma
Experience:
2 - 4+ years in office administration, facility/property management, or event coordination
Skills:
Languages - Bengali, Hindi, English (basic spoken & written)
Computer - MS Word/Excel, email, WhatsApp, simple spreadsheets & calendars
Personal Qualities:
Responsible, courteous, physically fit, flexible with indoor/outdoor duties, able to work extended hours during events
Verification:
Appointment will be subject to satisfactory
police verification and character/reference checks
Work Hours
Regular:
9:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 6 days a week (weekly off - flexible)
Event Coordination on certain days:
May require
12-14 hours
or late evenings till event closure
Compensation & Benefits
Salary:
?12,000 - ?16,500 per month
Free Accommodation:
Single-person quarters available at Srihatta Bhavan (optional)
