The Receptionist is responsible for welcoming patients and visitors, managing front desk operations, and supporting smooth communication within the hospital. The role ensures a positive patient experience and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients, visitors, and attenders professionally and guide them to the appropriate departments.
Manage patient registration, collect basic details, and update information in the system.
Schedule and confirm appointments for doctors and diagnostic services.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and redirect calls to the concerned departments.
Verify patient documents, insurance details, and maintain accurate records.
Provide information on hospital services, procedures, and waiting times.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff for smooth patient flow.
Maintain the reception area: clean, organized, and welcoming.
Handle billing support, collect payments (if required), and issue receipts.
Manage daily reports, files, and assist with basic administrative tasks.
Ensure patient confidentiality and follow hospital guidelines at all times.
Skills Required:
Good communication and customer service skills
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, hospital software)
