Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Odoo Techno-Functional Lead to drive ERP transformation and optimization initiatives within their FMCG distribution and Cash & Carry operations. This role requires a deep understanding of Odoo's technical and functional capabilities, particularly in environments involving van sales, trade distribution, warehouse operations, and retail cash & carry formats. You will be responsible for end-to-end solution architecture, module customization, team leadership, and ongoing system optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end implementation and optimization of Odoo ERP modules relevant to FMCG, Van Sales, Warehouse Management, Inventory, Point of Sale, Accounting, CRM, HR and Procurement.

Map business processes from the Cash & Carry and van distribution models into Odoo, identifying automation opportunities and minimizing manual tasks.

Gather and analyze business requirements from commercial, logistics, and finance teams, and translate them into functional and technical specifications.

Configure Odoo modules to meet fast-moving, field-based operations, including sales rep mobility, route planning, and cash collection workflows.

Provide post-deployment support, user training, and system documentation.

Technical Responsibilities:

Design and develop custom Odoo modules, workflows, and integrations tailored to the FMCG environment (e.g., route accounting, fleet management, inventory aging, etc.).

Oversee data migrations, version upgrades, and performance tuning of the Odoo system.

Integrate Odoo with third-party solutions such as mobile van sales apps, e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, and BI tools.

Ensure robust system security, scalability, and business continuity planning.

Leadership & Collaboration:

Lead and mentor a team of Odoo developers.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, logistics, sales, and finance.

Act as the bridge between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery.

Drive ERP strategy and roadmap development aligned with business expansion goals in FMCG and wholesale distribution.

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related discipline.

5+ years of techno-functional experience with Odoo ERP, with a strong track record in FMCG or consumer goods industries.

Proven experience with van sales processes, including route sales management, handheld/mobile integration, and real-time inventory tracking.

In-depth understanding of Cash & Carry retail operations, including POS, warehouse management, pricing, and customer accounts.

Strong command of Odoo architecture, Python, PostgreSQL, XML, and JavaScript.

Preferred:

Experience with handheld/mobile van sales systems (e.g., Honeywell, Zebra) integrated with Odoo.

Knowledge of FMCG-specific KPIs (e.g., SKU velocity, expiry tracking, batch management).

Familiarity with BI/reporting tools and sales forecasting models.

Odoo certification is a plus.
