An occupational therapy (OT) lecturer designs and delivers educational programs, conducts and leads high-quality research, engages in scholarly activities, and manages administrative duties related to teaching and research in occupational therapy. The role requires expert knowledge of the field, strong teaching and communication skills, and the ability to mentor students and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to foster exceptional student outcomes and advance the profession.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Program Development:
Plan, design, develop, and deliver high-quality teaching programs for undergraduate and postgraduate students in occupational therapy.
Utilize innovative teaching techniques and create effective assessment procedures.
Contribute to the overall curriculum development and program quality.
Research and Scholarly Activity:
Conduct high-quality, scholarly research in the field of occupational therapy.
Lead research developments and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the subject area.
Disseminate good practice through publications and other scholarly avenues.
Student and Staff Mentorship:
Mentor and guide students in their academic and research projects, supporting their development into future professionals.
Lead and manage staff within the occupational therapy team.
Administration and Collaboration:
Handle administrative and managerial duties, such as acting as a module or program leader.
