Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive therapy services to diverse patient populations across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, home health, schools, and skilled nursing facilities. This role involves developing and implementing individualized care plans aimed at improving patients' functional abilities and quality of life. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and support patients in achieving their personal goals.

Responsibilities



Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop tailored treatment plans. Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and safety. Implement therapeutic interventions across settings such as acute care, ICU, geriatrics, pediatrics, early intervention, and post-acute care. Facilitate discharge planning by coordinating with healthcare teams and family members to ensure seamless transitions. Work with individuals with disabilities, autism, or other developmental challenges to improve motor skills and adaptive behaviors. Conduct case management activities, including progress documentation and treatment adjustments. Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, safety techniques, and adaptive equipment use. Collaborate with speech therapists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.

Experience



Proven experience working in inpatient settings such as ICU or acute care units. Skilled nursing facility experience or post-acute care background preferred. Experience working with pediatric populations in clinics or school environments. Familiarity with working in outpatient or home health settings is advantageous. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and case management principles essential for effective therapy delivery. Prior experience assisting with ADLs, discharge planning, working with individuals with autism or disabilities, geriatrics, and early intervention is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams are essential for success in this role.
