Responsibilities

:

Conduct assessments and evaluations in functional activities, self care, daily living, work activities, leisure and play. Develop and implement treatment plans to help individuals achieve optimal independence by improving and restoring skill in the above areas. Knowledge of different sensory systems and their contribution to our function in daily lives, ability to diagnose malfunction of these systems and design sensory integration programs is necessary. Prescribe and train in the use of assistive technology or devices. Conduct individual and group-based interventions to improve functional ability. Educate and provide training for family members and caregivers on interventions and care giving skills. Contribute towards continuous quality improvement in the department and organization overall. Monitor intervention programmes and review its effectiveness. Collaborate with other teaching staff and function as a resource person in integrating the occupational therapy objectives into the program.

Eligibility

: Hold a recognised qualification in occupational therapy (Graduate). Desirable: 1-2 years work experience with people with special needs children, ASD and/or other developmental disabilities will be preferred.

Pay: Up to ?65,000.00 per month
