Occupational Therapist Interns
to join our team--someone passionate about helping children achieve functional, sensory, and developmental milestones.

Roles & Responsibilities
Assessment & Evaluation
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for children to identify strengths, functional limitations, and developmental needs. Assess fine motor skills, sensory processing, balance, coordination, handwriting, activities of daily living (ADLs), play skills, and overall functional participation. Use standardized assessment tools, clinical observations, and parent or caregiver interviews to accurately understand each child's profile. Document assessment findings and clinical impressions in clear, structured evaluation reports.
Therapy & Intervention
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with each child's goals, using neuro-affirming and child-centered approaches. Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions focusing on sensory integration, fine motor development, handwriting, motor planning, ADLs, and play-based skills. Support children in improving self-regulation, attention, behavior, and functional independence across home and school environments. Recommend and train families in the use of adaptive equipment, assistive tools, sensory diets, and environmental modifications as required.
Collaboration & Documentation
Work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary team members including speech therapists, psychologists, and special educators to ensure holistic care. Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and progress reviews. Provide parent education, home programs, and school-based strategies to ensure carryover of therapy goals. Monitor child progress regularly, update therapy plans accordingly, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and progress reports in line with organizational standards.

Bachelor/Master in Occupational Therapy (BOT/MOT) -

Certification:
Valid license/registration with AIOTA is an added benefit
