As a fresher Occupational Therapist specializing in adult care, you will assist in evaluating, planning, and implementing therapy programs for individuals recovering from neurological, orthopedic, or physical conditions. Working under the supervision of senior therapists, your focus will be on helping clients regain independence and improve their ability to perform essential daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Support in assessing functional limitations due to stroke, spinal cord injury, trauma, or degenerative disorders.
Assist in designing and executing personalized rehabilitation plans.
Facilitate therapy sessions focusing on ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), motor coordination, and cognitive retraining.
Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment use.
Maintain accurate documentation and progress records of therapy sessions.
Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions and case reviews.
Ensure proper usage, maintenance, and sanitization of therapy equipment.
Stay engaged in continuous learning through internal training and mentorship.
Eligibility & Skills:
Qualification:
Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy (BOT) - completed or in final year with registration pending.
Basic knowledge of adult neuro conditions, rehabilitation techniques, and functional therapy goals.
Strong communication, observation, and patient-handling skills.
Compassionate, professional, and eager to learn in a clinical environment.
Preferred:
Clinical internship experience with adult or neurorehabilitation clients.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts (if applicable).
Familiarity with therapy documentation software or digital records is a plus.
