Occupancy Planning Lead



What this job involves:



As an Occupancy Planning Lead at JLL, you'll be at the forefront of shaping a brighter way for our clients and fellow employees while playing a crucial role in assuring delivery of JLL best practices via Occupancy Planning & Management products, solutions, and tools to our real estate clients. In this leadership role, you'll leverage your expertise to optimize space utilization, enhance workplace efficiency, and create environments where teams can thrive. You'll serve as an account leader for delivery of Occupancy Planning and Management, bringing best practices, industry insight and thought leadership to accounts while acting as a trusted advisor to clients, Account Directors, and teams.



What your day-to-day will look like:



Strategic Leadership & Client Management:



Analyze current space utilization and develop data-driven occupancy strategies



Foster critical relationships between various individuals and organizations while ensuring coordination and collaboration among various JLL businesses



Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key systems/processes and client deliverables



Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement space plans



Team Management & Development:



Manage a team, train and mentor as needed



Think strategically, simplify the complex, see the big picture, and drive results



Go above and beyond to help with any tasks and solve problems effectively



Space Planning & Analysis:



Conduct regular occupancy audits and provide recommendations for improvement



Manage space allocation requests and coordinate moves, adds, and changes



Plan and manage portfolios while maximizing space utilization



Assist clients in their migration plans, group, and individual moves



Review, prepare, and update project status reports on actual versus projected seat demand



Reporting & Communication:



Develop and maintain occupancy reports and dashboards for stakeholders



Create accurate and credible planning reports to support Corporate Real Estate decision making including space, demand and utilization tracking



Report on current supply and capacity, and forecast inventory changes



Consolidate data and floor plans into PowerPoint presentations for clients



Continuous Improvement:



Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in space utilization



Ensure compliance with workplace standards and regulations



Implement flex office, hoteling, and alternative workplace solutions programs



Required Skills and Experience:



Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or related field



8-15 years of progressively responsible experience in managing occupancy, space, move management, and change management processes across a broad geography



Expert level data analytical skills and mastery of Sheets and Excel



CAFM system and AutoCAD experience



Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suites



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills



Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening and the ability to engage at all levels of leadership from administrative to executive level



Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively



Strong working knowledge of architectural drawings and furniture systems



Knowledge of workplace trends and best practices in space utilization



Desired or Preferred Experience and Technical Skills:



Master's degree in Business, Facilities Management or related field



Professional certifications (e.g., CFM, IFMA)



Experience with BIM software and technologies



Knowledge of sustainability practices in workplace design



Familiarity with change management principles



Experience in a global corporate environment



Demonstrated ability to drive innovation in space planning and utilization



High level of performance in project budgeting and scheduling
