Job Title: OBIEE Consultant

An OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) consultant is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Oracle's BI platform. The profile includes both technical and consulting aspects, covering a wide range of BI project needs, from requirements gathering and data modeling to report development and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into OBIEE solutions, including dashboards, reports, and analytics.
- Design and develop OBIEE repositories (RPD), including Physical, Business Model, and Presentation layers, meta-data, hierarchies, and security structures.
- Implement and customize dashboards, analyses, and reports to provide actionable business insights.
- Optimize and maintain the OBIEE environment, including configuration, tuning, and performing administration activities.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve OBIEE-related issues, and provide ongoing technical support.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide training, and produce clear documentation for solutions delivered.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

- 3-7+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle BI tools, including OBIEE, Oracle BI Publisher, and Data Integrator.
- Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with ETL processes and OLAP cube design is preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field is often required.
- Knowledge of Oracle Applications (such as EBS modules: Finance, Procurement, HR) and experience with performance tuning are advantages.
- Knowledge of Banking/Financial processes are additional advantages

Typical Job Duties

- Create, configure, and maintain OBIEE dashboards and reports.
- Develop security models, meta-data objects, and document solutions.
- Participate in design and analysis sessions to ensure effective solution delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and transfer knowledge to clients.
- Support system integration, data migration, and business process optimization.
