The OAS & ODI Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end data integration, semantic modeling, and analytics delivery function. This role involves managing Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) pipelines, ensuring reliable data movement, monitoring ETL/ELT operations, and managing Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) for reporting, visualization, and metadata modeling. The manager will lead technical operations, drive best practices, perform troubleshooting, and partner with business teams to ensure high-quality, trusted analytics.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Management
Oversee development and maintenance of ODI mappings, packages, load plans, and scenarios.
Monitor and manage ODI agents, schedules, and batch job execution.
Ensure reliability, performance, and recovery of ETL/ELT processes.
Troubleshoot ODI errors (ODI-1226, ODI-1240, ODI-1298, ORA-01722, etc.).
Implement data quality, lineage, and auditing standards.
Coordinate code deployments across environments (DEV ? QA ? PROD).
Optimize ELT jobs using SQL tuning and Oracle performance best practices.
2. Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) Management
Manage the OAS platform including RPD modeling, dashboards, data sets, and visualizations.
Maintain and optimize the semantic layer: Physical, Business Model & Mapping, and Presentation.
Ensure data model alignment with ODI and warehouse structures.
Manage user access, security roles, and row-level security.
Oversee OAS server configuration, cluster management, caching, and performance tuning.
Validate dashboard accuracy and respond to business data issues.
3. Platform Administration & Governance
Maintain repository objects and ensure metadata consistency across OAS and ODI.
Ensure governance, documentation, and version control of all data models and integration flows.
Drive automation, monitoring, and operational improvements.
Coordinate with DBAs, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams to ensure system availability.
Lead incident management and root-cause analysis.
4. Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
Gather requirements from business teams and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop roadmaps for data integration modernization and analytics enhancements.
Conduct training sessions for users on analytics tools and dashboards.
Establish SLAs for data freshness, pipeline uptime, and analytics availability.
Required Skills & Experience
5-12 years of experience in ODI (11g/12c) design, development, and operations.
Strong experience with Oracle Analytics Server / OBIEE (12c/11g) including RPD development and dashboard/report creation.
Strong SQL and PL/SQL proficiency.
Good understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT concepts.
Experience with ODI agents, topology, scenarios, load scheduling, and runtime operations.
Hands-on experience with OAS security, caching, catalog management, and performance tuning.
Experience handling production support, troubleshooting, RCA, and optimization.
Ability to coordinate deployments using Git, SVN, or similar tools.
Preferred:
Experience with Oracle Cloud Analytics (OAC) or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Knowledge of Linux shell scripting and automation tools.
Exposure to Python/PySpark or modern data engineering frameworks.
Knowledge of REST APIs, web services, and integration architecture.
