Job Description


Within the STMJ OA & indexation team (Portfolio Enablement, Journal Development and Editor Engagement CoE), the OA Development Support Manager will support the OA Acceleration and indexation by managing indexation applications process. The OA Development Support Manager plays an important role in the indexation of journals and getting journals ready for the approval processes. He/she will play a key role in supporting with the journal pre quality checks, processing applications, tracking, query handling and communication, both internally and externally. Furthermore, the OA Development Support Manager must ensure that the communication channels for publishers, such as Non-Solus and SharePoint are up to date. The OA Development Support Manager is a self-starter and using that ability to work alongside the OA STMJ team members troubleshooting where needed. KRA 1: Indexation applications Perform journal level and article level quality checks for potential journals to meet the standard requirements set by the respective indexation platforms. Submit applications for journal indexation to various services Provide suggestions to Publishers on how to improve their journal to increase chances of success Tracker management Keeping current and future trackers up to date, such as the Indexation Tracker Creating monthly indexation reports/trackers and uploading to Publishers Corner Editing and correcting reports Design and continuous improvement of trackers, so they fit to the needs of the different stakeholders Publication and distribution of trackers to stakeholders and communication channels like Non Solus and Sharepoint . Communication Updating of OA procedures and Best Practices Creating and distributing of communications to Publishers Contributing to monthly CoE Dashboard Uploading of Indexation trackers to Publishers\' Corner KRA . Management of indexation mailbox Support publishers to prepare journals for indexation Answering queries from both internal and external stakeholders Competencies and Proficiency Levels: Focus on Results: Takes initiative Independently addresses unexpected situations Can be counted on to follow through on actions.
