The Nutrition Officer is responsible for providing science?based, millet?focused nutrition guidance to customers and partners for the prevention and management of lifestyle diseases, ensuring that all product communication and counselling are accurate, ethical, and aligned with the company's wellness philosophy. In addition, the Nutrition Officer delivers millet?centric nutrition counselling to prospective customers and actively supports sales by converting qualified leads into paying customers for the company's wellness food products and programs.
Key responsibilities
Conduct one?to?one nutrition counselling (in?person/online) focused on millet?based diets for conditions such as diabetes, obesity, PCOS, gut health, and heart health.?
Take basic diet history and lifestyle details and convert them into simple, practical millet?centric meal and snack plans using the company's products.?
Create sample diet charts, recipe ideas, and product?based meal combinations for different age groups and health goals.?
Respond to customer queries (phone, WhatsApp, email, social media) on product usage, ingredients, and nutrition benefits in a clear, empathetic manner.?
Develop or support creation of nutrition content: FAQs, brochures, social media inputs, webinars, and blog outlines, especially around millets and lifestyle diseases.?
Conduct group education sessions / demos / webinars for customers, corporates, clinics, and community partners on millet?based wellness topics.?
Train internal teams (sales, outlet staff, marketing) on basic nutrition, claims do's and don'ts, and correct messaging around millet products.?
Review product formulations, nutrition labels, and health claims for scientific accuracy and alignment with regulations in coordination with product and compliance teams.?
Customer pitch and lead conversion
Make outbound calls and video/voice follow?ups to leads generated via website, social media, events, referrals, and campaigns.?
Understand each lead's health concerns and goals, give brief nutrition advice, and position suitable millet?based products or programs as solutions.?
Deliver clear, ethical product pitches emphasizing benefits, correct usage, and realistic outcomes without over?stating medical claims.?
Follow a structured conversion flow: first contact, needs assessment, recommendation, objection handling, closing (purchase/enrolment), and post?sale check?ins.?
Maintain accurate records of calls, outcomes, and next steps in CRM/lead trackers and coordinate with marketing/sales for follow?up campaigns.?
Work toward monthly conversion targets (lead?to?consultation, consultation?to?paid program, repeat purchases) while maintaining high customer satisfaction.?
Qualifications
Education: BSc/MSc in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, or related field; additional certification in diabetes/clinical nutrition/sports nutrition is an advantage.?
Experience: 1-2 years in nutrition counselling, dietetics, wellness clinics, health?tech, or nutrition?focused FMCG; motivated freshers with internships can be considered with training
