Manage staff schedules and assign nurses to patients.
Oversee the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
Handle staff disciplinary actions and provide ongoing coaching and development.
Monitor departmental budgets and expenditures.
Ensure the department meets operational, quality, and productivity standards.
Patient care and quality assurance:
Ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
Monitor patient records and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
Address patient and family concerns and provide support.
Communication and liaison:
Act as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, patients, and families.
Communicate updated information to departments and staff.
Report nursing activity and metrics to senior management.
Strategic and administrative duties:
Participate in developing and updating nursing policies and procedures.
Contribute to the department's strategic plans.
Stay current with advancements in nursing practices
