Job Specifications :

Position : Nursing Superintendent

Qualification : M.Sc(n) / B.Sc(N) / GNM

Experience : Min 10 years

Location : Medipally ,Uppal

:

Determine goals, objectives and policies of the Nursing Services

? To enforce and implement hospital policies and rules through various nursing units

? Decide and recommend personnel and material requisitions for running of various nursing units of the hospital

? Interview and recruit nursing staff through HR

? Ensure efficient care in the various nursing units of the hospital

? Make regular rounds

? Give counselling and guidance to the subordinate staff

? Participate in hospital and inter hospital meetings/conferences, investigate complaints and take necessary steps

? Evaluate confidential staff reports and recommend for promotions

? Plan staff development programmes and arrange for in-service education and orientation programs in coordination with the nurse educator

? Maintain monthly Quality Indicators and follow up

? Should be able to handle duties in absence of staff

? Performance assessment for all the staff

General Responsibilities:

? Provide direction and control to personnel within the department

? establish functional quality objectives

? ensure competence of personnel as per competency matrix and review performance every six months
