Planning and organization
: Planning and organizing the development of nursing services, including the allocation of resources and the formulation of nursing policies and procedures
Staffing
: Overseeing staffing needs and the orientation of new staff
Patient care
: Ensuring the quality of patient care, including the supervision of nursing care and the maintenance of cleanliness and equipment
Records and reports
: Maintaining records and reports, including health leave records and confidential reports
Staff welfare
: Supervising the health needs and welfare of nursing staff, and counseling and guiding them
Discipline
: Maintaining discipline among nursing staff
Meetings
: Attending meetings with top management and other hospital authorities, and organizing meetings with nursing staff
Training
: Developing staff through training programs
Liaison
: Acting as a liaison between the hospital and other organizations
