Job Summary
The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and clinical guidelines. The role involves assessing patient needs, planning and implementing nursing care, assisting doctors, and ensuring patient safety and comfort across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Care
Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining patient comfort.
Assist with daily activities such as bathing, feeding, mobility, and hygiene.
Respond promptly to patient needs and clinical emergencies.
2. Clinical Duties
Carry out physician's orders and assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Prepare and maintain patient records and documentation accurately.
Maintain infection control protocol and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
Manage equipment in the department and report malfunctioning devices.
3. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with doctors, allied staff, and other nursing team members for smooth patient care.
Update family members on patient condition as per hospital guidelines.
Handover patient information effectively during shift changes.
4. Safety & Quality Standards
Ensure adherence to NABH/JCI and hospital quality standards.
Maintain sterile techniques and follow safety procedures.
Participate in audits, training sessions, and continuous improvement programs.
5. Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain stock of medications, consumables, and emergency items.
Record all nursing procedures and maintain proper logs.
Support department operations with punctual reporting and proper shift rotation.
Required Qualifications
GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing (as applicable).
Valid Nursing Council Registration.
Experience in relevant department preferred, but freshers may be considered.
Skills & Competencies
Strong clinical knowledge and patient-care skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
Compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Willingness to work in shifts.
Work Conditions
Rotational shifts (Morning/Evening/Night).
Duty in various departments based on hospital requirements.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
