Job Description

Supervise and manage nursing staff:

Oversee daily operations, create staff schedules, and ensure appropriate staffing levels for patient needs.

Provide leadership:

Lead by example, support staff development, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior nurses.

Ensure quality patient care:

Monitor and audit care standards, resolve patient and family issues, and ensure patients' dignity, safety, and nutritional needs are met.

Oversee clinical duties:

Be visible to staff, patients, and relatives to address concerns, and sometimes provide clinical support or guidance.

Handle administrative tasks:

Maintain records, manage confidential information, and participate in hospital committees.

Promote infection prevention:

Implement and enforce measures to prevent hospital-acquired infections.

Ensure patient safety:

Monitor for medication errors and adverse events, and ensure protocols are followed to prevent harm.

Collaborate with other departments:

Act as a liaison between nursing staff and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
