The Nursing Manager (Matron) is responsible for overseeing the overall management and supervision of nursing services across all departments. The role ensures delivery of high-quality patient care, adherence to hospital policies, staff training, and effective coordination between nursing, clinical, and administrative teams.
Key Responsibilities:-
1. Nursing Administration & Supervision-
Oversee day-to-day nursing operations across all departments.
Ensure adequate staffing and skill mix on all shifts.
Prepare and implement duty rosters and leave schedules.
Monitor discipline, punctuality, and professional conduct of nursing staff.
Conduct regular rounds to ensure adherence to nursing standards and protocols.
2. Quality Patient Care-
Maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
Supervise nursing care plans and ensure proper documentation.
Address and resolve patient complaints related to nursing services promptly.
Ensure infection control practices are strictly followed.
3. Training & Development-
Organize training sessions, workshops, and continuous education programs for nursing staff.
Evaluate nursing performance and identify areas for skill improvement.
Mentor junior nurses and promote professional growth within the department.
4. Policy & Compliance-
Implement hospital policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure compliance with statutory and accreditation requirements (e.g., NABH, JCI).
Participate in hospital committees (Infection Control, Quality, Safety, etc.).
5. Coordination & Reporting-
Liaise with doctors, administrative departments, and management for smooth workflow.
Submit periodic reports on nursing performance, manpower, and incidents.
Manage nursing inventory, medical supplies, and equipment efficiently.
Qualifications & Experience:-
B.Sc. Nursing or GNM (Mandatory).
Minimum (8-12 years of experience) in nursing, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
Registered with the State Nursing Council.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Sound knowledge of hospital operations and clinical procedures.
Ability to handle emergency situations and manage conflicts.
Proficiency in computer-based documentation and reporting.
Full-time position; should be available for emergency or administrative calls beyond working hours if required.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
