The Nursing Incharge is responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating nursing staff and patient care activities within the assigned department/ward. The role ensures high-quality nursing services, compliance with hospital standards, and smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor nursing staff performance and duty allocation.
Ensure proper patient care, safety, and adherence to nursing protocols.
Maintain ward discipline, cleanliness, infection control, and documentation.
Coordinate with doctors, administration, and allied departments for seamless operations.
Conduct rounds to assess patient needs, staff availability, and work quality.
Handle patient complaints and resolve issues promptly.
Ensure availability of medical supplies, equipment, and maintain stock records.
Monitor admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to nursing staff.
Prepare daily reports and communicate critical issues to the Nursing Superintendent.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and emergency preparedness.
Qualifications & Skills:
GNM/B.Sc Nursing with valid registration.
Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience; supervisory experience preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies professionally.
Knowledge of hospital protocols, nursing standards, and infection control.
