Overseeing the work of nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), assigning tasks, and ensuring proper documentation of patient care.
Coordination of Patient Care:
Ensuring that patients receive appropriate and timely nursing care, addressing their needs, and facilitating communication between healthcare professionals.
Resource Management:
Managing staff schedules, equipment, and supplies to ensure efficient operations and cost-effectiveness.
Policy and Procedure Implementation:
Developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
Staff Development:
Providing guidance, mentorship, and training to nursing staff, promoting their professional growth and development.
Performance Evaluation:
Conducting performance evaluations of nursing staff, identifying areas for improvement, and providing constructive feedback.
Collaboration:
Working closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and administrators, to ensure optimal patient care.
Emergency Management:
Coordinating emergency procedures and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
Compliance:
Ensuring all nursing operations are compliant with state and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies.
