The Nursing Educator is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care. The role includes orientation of new staff, continuous education of existing staff, and promoting evidence-based nursing practices.
Key Responsibilities
:
Develop and deliver nursing orientation programs for new staff.
Assess educational needs of nursing staff and design appropriate training.
Conduct in-service education, workshops, and clinical teaching.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback.
Promote continuous professional development among the nursing team.
Ensure all nursing staff are up to date with required certifications and competencies.
Collaborate with clinical departments to identify knowledge gaps and improve care standards.
Stay current with best practices and advances in nursing and healthcare.
Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation processes.
Maintain accurate training records and reports.
Qualifications
:
Education
: B.Sc Nursing or M.Sc Nursing (Preferred: specialization in Nursing Education or Medical-Surgical Nursing).
Experience
: Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience; at least 1-2 years in a teaching or training role preferred.
Licensure
: Registered Nurse with current nursing council registration.
