Job Description

:
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily clinical operations and nursing staff in the NICU.
Ensure proper allocation of nursing staff based on patient acuity and skill mix.
Monitor and maintain high standards of neonatal care as per hospital and regulatory protocols.
Coordinate with neonatologists, pediatricians, and support staff for integrated patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, reports, and records (admissions, discharges, nursing notes).
Conduct and oversee staff training, orientation, and performance evaluations.
Ensure availability and proper functioning of NICU equipment (warmers, incubators, monitors, ventilators, etc.).
Implement infection control, medication safety, and hygiene practices.
Handle emergency situations and escalate clinical issues promptly to appropriate authorities.
Act as the first point of contact for patient families for clinical updates and counseling support.
Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance checks.
