Job Title:

Staff Nurse


Qualification - B.Sc Nursing / GNM

Reports To:

Head Nurse/ Manager

Job Purpose:

To provide high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with clinical standards and organizational protocols, ensuring the health, safety, and comfort of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician. Monitor patient vital signs and record observations. Assist patients with daily activities, such as hygiene, mobility, and feeding.

Clinical Duties:

Prepare and maintain patient records, documenting care provided and patient progress. Perform diagnostic tests and procedures as directed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.

Communication:

Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-care instructions. Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.

Emergency Response:

Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide necessary interventions. Assist in resuscitation procedures and other critical care needs.

Infection Control:

Follow infection prevention protocols, including sterilization and disinfection procedures. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Administrative Duties:

Ensure accurate and timely completion of nursing documentation. Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions. Assist in maintaining inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
