Research Engineer-2
(Structural \xe2\x80\x93 Linear/Non-linear, Thermostructural, Dynamic Analysis)
The available role is for an M. Tech professional with more than two years of experience,

• Focusing on the application of scientific and engineering principles in component, subsystem to full system level
• The incumbent will work on defined and exploratory projects, delivering results under the guidance of a senior research engineer

Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Research Group Leader, providing the incumbent with readily available assistance and guidance.

• Weekly progress is closely supervised, particularly in the initial months, subject to review before further action is taken
• The findings of the incumbent are frequently checked for accuracy and are integral to the project\xe2\x80\x99s conclusions

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to comprehend project requirements and develop simulation methodologies and optimizations with guidance
• Possess a strong theoretical foundation in FEA simulations, applying first principles to conceptualize and implement innovative solutions
• Preferably, have knowledge of the commercial tool ABAQUS Static/Dynamic for conducting structural, optimization strategy, ANSYS: Static - Structural, Thermo-structural, Fatigue, Creep, Fracture/Dynamic simulations
• Demonstrate the ability to conduct lab-scale experiments using standard methods, such as design of experiments, to evaluate the feasibility of novel concepts proposed by researchers.
• Showcase innovation abilities and effectively communicate simulation results, providing design recommendations to process engineers. Take ownership of implementing designs at the shop floor.
• Mandatory excellent communication and presentation skills.

Education and Experience:

• M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 3-4 years of experience, emphasizing FEA-related activities
• Essential working knowledge of modeling tools Solid works, particularly ABAQUS
• Strong fundamentals in structural and multi-physics domains are mandatory
• Preferred knowledge of FEA (pre & post-processing) and automation in Python or C/C++
