Role Description
Role Description: Functional scrum Master
The Technical Project Manager, Scrum Master is chief responsible is to effectively and efficiently manage the development sprints from planning to execution to review in an agile development environment. Your role will include running daily scrums, managing the product backlog, collaborating on requirement documentation, managing support tickets and unblocking barriers to keep the team moving.
The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, demonstrate strong leadership abilities and have the desire to be part of a fast-growing startup company where you'll have the opportunity guide the development of our portfolio of products.
Role and responsibilities

• Gathering program requirements, define project plans & timelines, drive multiple cross-functional teams through management and support to deliver different projects, programs and organization initiatives.
• Assembling and influence cross-discipline virtual teams for successfully delivering key business programs.
• Business programs from writing specifications, preparing project plans to bringing the programs to fruition.
• Drive requirements and understand and track dependencies across multiple sub-projects or cross-group projects
• Manage prioritization and backlog of feature/work items, perform work decomposition, conduct scoping estimates, etc.,
• Run triage/scrum meetings, create schedules to track; Keep large & diverse groups informed of progress/issues/obstacles and mitigation plans for successfully delivering the business programs
• Possess excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Able to regularly communicate with stakeholders on progress, risks and mitigations
• Drive to get things done rather than being just a policy maker/spokesperson/reporting function
• Ensure the programs are managed as per processes and methodologies aligned to global standards and are executed on budget and on time
• Facilitates daily stand-up, iteration planning, sprint review, and iteration retrospective.
• Maintain team data in project management software (i.e. JIRA, Manuscript, etc.) to support estimates and execution.
• Presents high level project readouts for senior management.
• Supports product owner(s) with intra-team dynamics with respect to priorities and scope.
• Manage other special projects as assigned.

Technical skills requirements

• Expertise of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc.
• Expert coach on implementation of agile scrum.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules and practices.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile procedures to predict the development teams' needs.
• Solid experience working with Architecture teams to assess and size story/epics
• Deep understanding of agile metrics (tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc.) to analyze and improve sprint planning.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of work experience in systems or application development
• B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer science background is preferred.
