Job Description

We are looking for an

NPD Quality Engineer & Project Manager

to manage end-to-end execution of

New Product Development (NPD)

projects. This role owns

quality planning, customer approvals, and project timelines

from drawing receipt to SOP.

The role is

execution-heavy, customer-facing, and timeline-critical

, acting as a single point of accountability between customers, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams during new product launches.

NPD Quality Planning

Review customer drawings, specifications, and special characteristics Identify manufacturability and quality risks at early stages Prepare and validate

PFMEA, Control Plans, and Inspection Plans

Define and enforce quality gates for NPD milestones

Project Management & Timeline Control

Create detailed NPD project plans with milestones and ownership Track progress against timelines and escalate deviations immediately Coordinate trials, pilot runs, and process validations Ensure all actions are closed before SOP release

Customer Interface & Approvals

Act as

single point of contact

for NPD quality with customers Lead customer calls, meetings, and technical discussions Drive

PPAP, FAI, and customer approval submissions

Communicate risks, delays, and mitigation plans transparently

Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination

Coordinate with suppliers for development parts, tooling, and special processes Ensure supplier readiness for plating, anodizing, powder coating, welding, etc. Drive supplier PPAPs and corrective actions

Internal Coordination & Readiness

Align Production, Quality, Purchase, PPC, and Tooling teams Ensure SOP release only after full quality and process readiness Prevent premature production release under commercial pressure

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain complete NPD documentation with revision control Prepare project status reports, risk trackers, and customer updates Ensure audit-ready documentation at all times

Authority & Accountability

Block NPD milestones if quality readiness is incomplete Propose realistic customer timelines and reject unsafe commitments Prevent SOP release without PPAP / FAI approval Escalate risks and delays to senior management

Key Skills & Requirements

Minimum

5 years experience

in NPD / Quality / Project roles (manufacturing) Strong hands-on exposure to

APQP, PPAP, FAI, PFMEA

Proven

customer-facing experience

(international customers preferred)

Excellent spoken & written English

(mandatory) Strong ownership mindset and ability to work under pressure Confidence to challenge unrealistic timelines in favor of quality

On-time SOP launches PPAP / FAI first-time approval rate NPD rejection rate during trials & early production Customer satisfaction during NPD phase Effective engineering change management

Pay: ?420,000.00 - ?480,000.00 per year
