Job Summary:

As the R & D Engineer for LED Lighting Solutions, you will drive the development of new products, focusing on quality improvement, cost reduction, and effective stock management. You will also be responsible for analyzing product performance, identifying non-moving products, and implementing strategies for stock reduction. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in new product development, project management, and manufacturing processes in the lighting industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. New Product Development:

- Lead the end-to-end product development process for new LED lighting solutions.

- Collaborate with design, engineering, and marketing teams to create innovative and market-relevant products.

- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and potential product opportunities.

2. Cost Reduction:

- Analyze production costs and identify areas for cost reduction without compromising on quality.

- Work with suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate pricing and ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials.

3. Product Performance Analysis:

- Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing products to identify non-moving items.

- Develop actionable strategies for discontinuing, rebranding, or revitalizing slow-selling products.

4. Stock Management:

- Implement inventory management strategies that optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory.

- Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to streamline product distribution and minimize lead times.

5. Quality Improvement:

- Establish and maintain quality standards for new LED products.

- Conduct product testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on customer feedback and market analysis.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, sales, and customer service to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support.

- Serve as the main point of contact for all product-related inquiries and initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master degree in EEE, EC or similar. Product Design, Business Management, or a related field.

- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in product development, preferably in the lighting or electrical industry.

- Strong understanding of LED technology and market trends.

- Proven track record of successful product launches and cost reduction initiatives.

- Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.

- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
