Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Handle end-to-end NPD activities for aluminium components using Gravity Die Casting (GDC). Design and validate tool design, gating design, and gating systems for GDC. Perform mould flow simulations and optimize casting parameters to achieve defect-free castings. Coordinate with tool room and vendors for tool manufacturing, corrections, and validation. Ensure NPD projects are completed within defined timelines, quality standards, and cost targets. Support DFM reviews and provide technical inputs during customer discussions. Lead and mentor engineers and technicians during trials, validation, and PPAP activities. Prepare and maintain NPD documentation including APQP, PPAP, process flow, and trial reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical or Tool Engineering. Minimum 7+ years of experience in NPD, Tool Design, and Tool Room operations in GDC. Strong knowledge of Tool Design, Gating Design, and Gating System Calculations for GDC. Hands-on experience in Mould Flow Simulation software (Magma / ProCAST or equivalent). Proficiency in CAD design software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or UG NX. Good knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and quality systems in aluminium casting. Strong team handling, coordination, and project management skills.
