Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated

NPD Engineer

with 2 years of experience in a foundry environment. The ideal candidate will assist in the development and introduction of new cast components, from design review to sample approval, ensuring successful industrialization and alignment with customer specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

:

Participate in the development of new cast products from concept to production. Review customer drawings, technical specifications, and provide feasibility analysis. Coordinate with design, pattern, and tooling teams for new product development. Support gating and riser design using simulation software (e.g., MAGMASOFT, ProCAST, AutoCAST). Supervise sample casting trials and document observations and improvements. Ensure timely completion of PPAP/APQP documents for new products. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for defects in trial samples. Interact with customers and internal departments during development and validation stages. Maintain documentation and records for product development, trials, and approvals. Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction in product/process design. Ensure adherence to quality standards, ISO/TS 16949 requirements, and customer-specific needs.

Qualifications & Skills

:

B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Metallurgy / Foundry Technology. Minimum

2 years of experience

in NPD activities in a foundry environment. Understanding of casting processes: sand casting, shell molding, or investment casting. Knowledge of metallurgical properties, solidification principles, and process control. Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (optional). Basic understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and other quality tools. Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to work in a cross-functional team and under tight timelines.

Pay: ?18,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
