Job Purpose:

Responsible for leading and executing New Product Development projects related to aluminium die casting and high pressure die casting (HPDC) components, ensuring robust design, manufacturability, quality, and timely project execution from concept to production launch.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

Lead end-to-end NPD activities for aluminium HPDC components. Prepare and monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Design, Tooling, Production, Quality, Supply Chain).

Design & Development

Study customer drawings, specifications, and requirements. Provide DFM (Design for Manufacturability) feedback to customers. Work with tooling vendors for die design, development, and validation. Conduct simulation studies (Moldflow / MagmaSoft / AnyCasting, etc.) for HPDC feasibility.

Process Development

Define casting parameters for new components. Support development of new dies, trimming tools, and fixtures. Conduct DOE (Design of Experiments) and optimize HPDC process parameters.

Validation & Quality

Develop and review APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans. Perform casting trials, first-off inspections, and dimensional validation. Ensure adherence to customer-specific requirements and quality standards (IATF 16949 / ISO).

Supplier & Customer Interaction

Coordinate with customers for technical approvals and design validation. Liaise with die/tool makers for tooling development and corrections.

Continuous Improvement

Drive value engineering, weight reduction, and cost optimization initiatives. Support development of new alloys, coating, and surface treatment solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

B.E / B.Tech - Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering. 3-8 years of experience in

Aluminium Die Casting / HPDC NPD

. Hands-on experience in die design reviews, casting simulation, and process optimization. Good knowledge of aluminium alloys, heat treatment, machining, and finishing processes. Familiar with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, GD&T, and problem-solving methodologies (8D, RCA). Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA / UG NX / SolidWorks / AutoCAD) & casting simulation tools.

Skills Required:

Strong technical knowledge of aluminium HPDC processes. Project management & multitasking abilities. Good communication & customer handling skills. Analytical and problem-solving mindset. Knowledge of lean manufacturing & continuous improvement tools.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹720,000.00 per year
