Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Trials

Assist in development and modification of rubber compounds and products Support laboratory and plant trials (mixing, extrusion, molding, calendaring, curing) Prepare and track trial plans, samples, and test reports Coordinate prototype development and sample submissions

Testing & Quality Support

Assist in physical, mechanical, and chemical testing (hardness, tensile, elongation, abrasion, compression set, aging, etc.) Support analysis of test data and comparison against specifications Ensure compliance with customer, industry, and internal quality standards

Documentation & Coordination

Maintain NPD documentation including formulations, process sheets, test reports, BOMs, and change records Track project timelines, milestones, and action items Coordinate with Production, QA, Procurement, Tooling, and Marketing teams

Materials & Supplier Support

Assist in sourcing and evaluation of raw materials (polymers, fillers, curatives, additives) Coordinate with suppliers for technical data, samples, and trials Support cost analysis and material standardization initiatives

Customer & Commercial Support

Assist in customer sample approvals, PPAP (if applicable), and technical submissions Support resolution of technical queries during product development and trials
Qualifications & Skills

Education

Bachelor's / Diploma in Rubber Technology, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field

Experience

0-3 years of experience in rubber product development, compounding, or R&D (freshers with strong fundamentals may apply).
