Node.js Solutions Architect - AWS/GCP | Distributed Systems

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

12+ years of backend engineering experience (Node.js + TypeScript ideally). Deep experience designing and scaling microservices and distributed systems. Strong in AWS and GCP architectures for enterprise-grade systems. Expertise in SQL and NoSQL: Postgres/MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Firestore. Proficient with Kafka / RabbitMQ / SQS / SNS / Pub/Sub. Strong grounding in WebSockets, event-driven patterns, and rule engines. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), service meshes (Istio/Linkerd). Strong understanding of OAuth2, SAML, JWT, OpenID Connect, and enterprise identity. Familiarity with Next.js, React, Angular or equivalent front-end frameworks. Exposure to AI engineering -- agentic flows, prompting, vector search, LLM workflows. Experience in building high-throughput systems with tight reliability constraints.

Leadership & Collaboration

Experience guiding multiple engineering squads. Ability to architect, document, communicate, and justify decisions. Experience working with senior client architects, product teams, and DevOps. Strong problem-solving and cross-team coordination skills.

Bonus

Fintech, payments, or transaction-heavy domain expertise. Experience designing fraud/risk scoring systems. Familiarity with DDD, CQRS, and event sourcing. * Experience with serverless + container hybrid architectures.
