Role & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain

RESTful APIs

and

microservices

using

Node.js

. Write

clean, efficient, and well-documented

code that meets performance and security standards. Work with both

relational (PostgreSQL)

and

NoSQL (DynamoDB or MongoDB)

databases. Optimize database queries, indexing, and schema design for speed and scalability. Ensure high performance, reliability, and security across backend systems. Collaborate with front-end engineers to integrate user-facing features with backend services. Write and maintain

unit and integration tests

to ensure code quality. Participate in

code reviews

and continuous improvement initiatives. Stay up to date with the latest tools, frameworks, and backend technologies.

Preferred Candidate Profile

3-4 years

of hands-on experience in backend development. Strong experience with

Node.js

and building

RESTful APIs

. Proficient in

PostgreSQL

-- schema design, migrations, transactions, and optimization. Hands-on experience with

NoSQL databases

such as

DynamoDB

or

MongoDB

. Understanding of

microservices architecture

and

API design patterns

. Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g.,

Jest

,

Mocha

) and

CI/CD pipelines

. Strong

problem-solving and debugging

skills. Excellent

communication and collaboration

abilities. Able to work independently and deliver quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

Experience with

ORMs

(Prisma, TypeORM, Sequelize),

AWS services

(Lambda, ECS, RDS), and

Docker

or container-based environments.
