We're looking for a Node.js/Backend Developer Intern who enjoys building backend services, APIs, and can optimise database. You'll work closely with our frontend and backend team to develop new features, maintain existing systems, and learn industry standard backend development practices.
Responsibilites
Assist in building and maintaining backend APIs using Node.js and Express(whichever applies to your stack).
Work with databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL .
Implement authentication, authorization, and basic security best practices.
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs.
Help debug, test, and optimize backend logic for performance.
Write clean, maintainable code and follow coding standards.
Participate in code reviews, daily standups, and sprint discussions.
Learn and adapt to new technologies as required.
Requirments
Understanding of JavaScript and Node.js runtime.
Familiarity with Express.js or any Node.js framework.
Knowledge of REST APIs and JSON.
Basic understanding of SQL and PostgreSQL database.
Ability to debug simple issues and implement clean logic.
Eagerness to learn and contribute to real projects.
Nice to Have (Optional but great):
Experience with Prisma, Sequelize, or Mongoose.
Understanding of JWT, sessions, cookies, or OAuth.
Experience with Git and GitHub.
Knowledge of TypeScript ( not required )
Exposure to cloud platforms (VPS)
What you will learn
Production-level API design and backend architecture.
Database structuring, migrations, and ORM usage.
Writing scalable and secure backend systems.
Using tools like Postman, GitHub, pm2, Docker, etc.
Real project workflows (agile, sprints, code reviews).
