About the Role

We are looking for an experienced

Node.js Backend Developer

to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in building scalable, high-performance backend systems using Node.js, with hands-on experience in APIs, microservices, and database integrations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy backend services that power our applications at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using

Node.js

and related frameworks (Express.js, NestJS, etc.). Build and optimize

RESTful APIs

and microservices architecture. Work with databases such as

MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis

for data storage and caching. Implement

authentication/authorization

(JWT, OAuth) and ensure security best practices. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry standards. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues in production and non-production environments. Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Ensure

performance, scalability, and reliability

of backend systems. Participate in

code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing

. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud-based infrastructure.

Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years of professional experience in

Node.js backend development

. Strong proficiency in

JavaScript (ES6+)

and

asynchronous programming

concepts. Experience with frameworks like

Express.js / NestJS

. Hands-on experience with

databases

(MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis). Understanding of

microservices architecture

and

API development

. Familiarity with

cloud platforms

(AWS/Azure/GCP) and deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes, PM2). Experience with

testing frameworks

(Jest, Mocha, Chai). Knowledge of

Git/GitHub/GitLab

for version control. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Good understanding of

data structures, algorithms, and time complexity

Experience with

TypeScript

. Knowledge of

GraphQL

. Exposure to

Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging queues
