About the Opportunity

A fast-scaling firm in the IT & Software Development sector building cloud-native web platforms, enterprise integrations, and B2B SaaS products for customers across domains. The team delivers production-grade backend systems focused on performance, security, and operational reliability.

We are hiring an on-site Node.js Developer for our India engineering hub to design, build, and operate backend services and APIs that power high-availability applications and integrations.

Role & Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js, ensuring maintainability and performance. Develop, review, and maintain server-side application code in JavaScript/TypeScript with strong test coverage and CI/CD integration. Integrate and optimise data storage solutions, query patterns, and schema design for MongoDB and PostgreSQL-based systems. Collaborate with product, frontend, and QA teams to define API contracts, deliver features on sprint cadence, and troubleshoot production issues. Implement security best practices (authentication, authorization, input validation, secrets management) and performance tuning for low-latency services. Contribute to DevOps practices: containerisation, automated builds, observability, and runbook creation for 24/7 services.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience building and operating production Node.js applications with strong test-first discipline. Practical knowledge of web security, performance optimisation, and scalable microservice architectures. Ability to work on-site in India and collaborate in cross-functional Agile teams.
