Title: NOC Associate

Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring & Incident Response:

• Monitor servers, network devices, storage systems, and critical applications using SolarWinds Orion Suite (NPM, NTA, SAM, etc.).
• Respond to SolarWinds-generated alerts, alarms, and performance thresholds promptly.
• Investigate and analyze event logs, SNMP traps, and performance metrics to identify issues.
• Escalate incidents to appropriate L2/L3 support teams based on severity and SLAs.
• Perform initial triage and document incident details, timestamps, and actions taken.
• Maintain real-time visibility of network and infrastructure health through dashboards.

Data Center & Infrastructure Support:

• Track infrastructure performance and availability (network links, CPU/memory/disk usage, bandwidth).
• Support data center physical inspections, rack audits, cable tracing, and hardware checks as needed.
• Assist in power/cooling monitoring (UPS, HVAC systems) and coordinate with facilities when alerts occur.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for routine checks, maintenance, and failover testing.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly uptime and incident reports using SolarWinds and internal tools.
• Maintain shift logs, incident tickets, asset details, and handover notes.
• Update documentation for monitoring thresholds, alert routing, and escalation matrix.

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 6-10 years of experience in NOC/Data Center operations with active infrastructure monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with SolarWinds monitoring tools (NPM, SAM, NCM, NetFlow, etc.).
• Understanding of TCP/IP, SNMP, ICMP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and basic routing/switching concepts.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux fundamentals, and virtualization technologies.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) or similar certification.
• Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy.
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and incident management processes.
• Exposure to data center environments (rack and stack, cable management, physical inspections).
• Familiarity with other monitoring/automation tools (e.g., Zabbix, PRTG, Ansible, PowerShell scripts).
