NLP + ML Engineer - Full-Time (On-Site, Bengaluru)

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an

NLP + ML Engineer

based in

Bengaluru

. The engineer will be responsible for pattern recognition in text, working with neural networks, implementing algorithms on edge platforms, and analyzing statistics daily within a healthtech ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop robust backend systems to handle real-time patient data and ML outputs. Develop and integrate machine learning models with APIs to the main application. Optimize model serving pipelines (e.g., using FastAPI or ONNX). Manage data pipelines for de-identified OPD datasets used in model training and inference. Implement data encryption, anonymization, and consent-based data access. Develop multilingual voice and text processing systems. Support versioning and A/B testing of health algorithms.

Qualifications

Experience in Neural Networks, Data Science, and Pattern Recognition. Strong background in Computer Science and Statistics. Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and tools, specifically for edge development. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Experience in developing multi-lingual ASR systems.

Backend Engineering Skills

Strong Python skills; familiarity with frameworks like FastAPI. Experience with DBMS, RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and asynchronous data flows. Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases. Working knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Machine Learning Ops with Edge Development

Hands-on experience with PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or TensorFlow / TensorFlow Lite. Skilled in model optimization, quantization, and edge deployment. Familiarity with language models (LLMs) and multilingual NLP. Knowledge of preprocessing, tokenization, and feature engineering for clinical/NLP tasks.

Other Required Skills

Understanding of HIPAA compliance. Experience working on healthcare, social impact, or AI-for-good projects.
