WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR We need a Security Specialist to join our Nike Security team in Bangalore. The Corporate Security Team protects Nike employees, properties, corporate assets and proprietary information and all items of value on premises from any preventable harm or danger. We develop policies and procedures that comply with government guidelines & standards and conduct investigations to protect organization assets. We respond to contingency events including bomb threats, sabotage, and severe weather conditions through onsite security force or with the assistance of government law enforcement agencies. We also advise and recommend on hiring of outside security contractors as necessary, coordinate and manage the contract guard force, safety, and security vendors. Our Security Specialists have in-depth knowledge of security systems, all aspects of security operations and can work independently and solve problems. WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON On any given day you may be reviewing electronic security systems, processes, and procedures to ensure operational functionality and deployment in a manner which maximizes resources and capabilities. You will coordinate & manage all aspects of security at Nike facilities, during Nike events and activations and provide ad hoc security support to international business travelers to ensure the safety and security. You will ensure broad compliance of all security measures and procedures to ensure a safe workplace environment. You will review and assess security measures and procedures to identify any weakness and/or security breaches - you will make recommendations to rectify weaknesses and investigate breaches to assess potential harm to Nike and/or it\'s employees with the intention to prevent it from happening again. You will provide ad-hoc security support to all/any ad hoc security related requests from WHQ, including the Global Modernization initiative to modernize, upgrade, integrate and improve Nike security systems. WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH You will be the operational point person for Nike India offices on all matters pertaining to safety and security and will report to the Nike Security Manager in India. On a daily basis, you will interact, communicate and/or consult with multiple internal Nike stakeholders (both in India, WHQ and/or Singapore) as well as managing and coordinating a network of external security providers and consultants. From time to time, you will represent Nike India in interactions pertaining to security matters with local Government and/or enforcement agencies as well as represent Nike India on security associations and government private business security initiatives such as the US Dept. State\'s Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) program. Stakeholders appreciate your in-depth subject matter expertise and thoughtful recommendations in a thorough, clear but concise manner. WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE Bachelor\'s degree and/or 2 -3 years\' experience with corporate security operations. In-depth knowledge of all safety and electronic security systems deployed in corporate offices to ensure secure and safe work environment. Knowledge and a profound understanding of integrating and modernizing different security systems. Efficient and smart communication skills. Ability to stay calm under pressure and emergent situations. Proficient Microsoft Office Use (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) etc.
