Provide direct care to neonates requiring intensive and specialized care.
Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, and overall condition of newborns.
Administer medications, fluids, and nutrition as per protocols and doctor's orders.
Assist neonatologists and pediatricians in procedures such as intubation, resuscitation, and catheterization.
Maintain strict infection control practices within the NICU.
Operate and maintain NICU equipment (incubators, ventilators, infusion pumps, monitors, phototherapy units, etc.).
Document patient condition, progress notes, and treatment provided accurately in medical records.
Provide emotional support and education to parents and families regarding neonatal care.
Coordinate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team for comprehensive care.
Ensure adherence to hospital policies, nursing standards, and statutory regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Diploma / B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.
License:
Registered Nurse (State Nursing Council registration mandatory).
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in NICU or pediatric nursing preferred. Freshers with NICU training may also apply.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of neonatal care protocols.
Ability to handle emergency situations with calmness and efficiency.
Proficiency in operating NICU equipment.
Excellent communication, empathy, and team collaboration skills.
Working Conditions:
Rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
