JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled

NICU Staff Nurse

to provide specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns. The NICU Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while collaborating with neonatologists, pediatricians, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes for neonates and support for their families.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates in accordance with established clinical protocols Monitor vital signs, oxygen levels, and neurological status; promptly recognize and report changes in patient condition Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and nutritional support as prescribed Operate and monitor NICU equipment including incubators, ventilators, CPAP, and infusion pumps Assist with neonatal procedures and emergency interventions as required Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical observations Educate and support parents and families regarding infant care, treatment plans, and discharge instructions Ensure strict adherence to infection control, safety, and quality standards Collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members Participate in unit audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing (GNM / BSc Nursing) Valid Nursing License/Registration Minimum 2 years of NICU or neonatal nursing experience preferred Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
