Job Description

/ Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the daily operations of the

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

. Ensure

high standards of patient care

and safety are maintained at all times. Monitor and guide the nursing staff in handling critically ill neonates. Oversee

staff scheduling, duty rosters

, and ensure adequate manpower coverage. Assist in developing and implementing

nursing protocols, policies, and standard operating procedures

. Coordinate with doctors, pediatricians, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care. Conduct

training and skill development programs

for NICU nursing staff. Maintain accurate and timely

documentation

of patient records, reports, and incident logs. Ensure infection control practices and NICU hygiene standards are strictly followed. Handle audits, inventory, and equipment maintenance related to NICU. Report to the Nursing Superintendent / Matron on unit performance and requirements.

Qualification:

GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing

Experience:

3 to 5 years of experience as a Staff Nurse Incharge or Senior Staff Nurse in NICU Must be a registered nurse with Maharashtra Nursing Council
