Role

The NFR Framework Senior Manager will support the NFR Framework team, which is part of the Non-Financial Risk team and in turn the Group Risk function. The Role reports to the Head of Non-Financial Risk Framework in London.

The Group Risk function covers all aspects of Operational, Financial and Strategic risk across the Group giving a unique insight and exposure to all areas of the Group. The Group Risk team is responsible for establishing the framework for the management of all non-financial and financial risks across the Group. The function acts as a close advisor to businesses and is engaged in all key strategic initiatives.

The NFR Framework team is responsible for the development and maintenance of the policies and standards expected of all LSEG businesses for identification, assessment, management and reporting of non-financial risks. The team also leads and coordinates several Group initiatives to enhance a strong internal control framework and ensure consistent application of policies and standards across the Group.

The role will primarily focus on supporting the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Control Enhancement Programme led by the Head of NFR Framework and the Director, Controls Framework. Additionally, the role will support other ongoing team deliverables including coordinating the execution of quarterly risk maturity assessments.

Close collaboration across all three lines of defence and within Group Risk is required to successfully support the programme and deliver Risk Maturity updates on time and at high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively support the Control Enhancement Programme:
  • Collate, organise, and match controls data from multiple sources, including LSEG internal and externally available datasets.
  • Set up / coordinate workshops and run read-across analysis to identify common themes, identify potential control gaps, opportunities to retire controls.
  • Perform central data quality review when required.
  • Support engagement with 2LoD CRO and 1LoD BCO teams to highlight issues and/or solutions.
  • Create templates to support delivery of the programme when needed.
  • Support the Programme Lead to summarise key observations, challenges and decisions arising from the data analysis.
  • Coordinate the quarterly Risk Maturity Assessment \xe2\x80\x93 Framework and Business
  • Plan the quarterly schedule and communicate the timescale to CRO teams (business maturity) and Group Risk framework owners (framework maturity).
  • Engage with CRO teams and Framework owners to make sure inputs are received on time and are at expected quality standards.
  • Consolidate inputs and analyse results for consistency.
  • Plan, schedule, and support calibration of Division and Function maturity assessment results across CRO teams.
  • Plan, schedule, and support calibration of framework maturity assessment results.
  • Coordinate updates with the Group Risk COO team to make sure final output is ready as per timelines and is at the expected quality.
Candidate Profile / Key Skills
  • Experience in Risk Management is required \xe2\x80\x93 must have practical / applied knowledge of risk management and control framework related concepts (e.g., RCA, key and non-key controls, events, issues, etc...).
  • Experience or knowledge of GRC systems and the necessary supporting components \xe2\x80\x93 controls, RCA, events, issues.
  • Advanced knowledge and application of MS Excel \xe2\x80\x93 need to be able to manage large datasets, organise and analyse data.
  • Partnership: Good communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 able to clearly articulate challenges and deliverables in terms of risk outcomes.
  • Innovation: Must be pro-active in anticipating next steps and managing their regular tasks, with a willingness to demonstrate initiative.
  • Innovation: Willingness to learn - open to adopting new processes, approaches and ways of working.
  • Sound judgement with experience of balancing competing factors to deliver optimal outcomes in a pragmatic fashion.
